Wayne Collins the Internationally recognised award-winning bar trainer is regarded by many within the drinks industry as one of the most knowledgeable, innovative & pioneering bartenders of today. Started his bartending career back in 1990 and has since bartended extensively in the UK, Europe, U.S.A, Japan and Australasia opening new bars, consulting on cocktails, launching training initiatives and exhibiting.

A key figure within the bar boom of 90’s London, he opened and worked at many high profile and award winning venues, this led to him being head hunted to become a brand ambassador and drinks stylist for various globally recognised premium spirit brands.

He is currently working for Maxxium UK Ltd. the joint venture between global drinks giants Beam Global and The Edrington Group. He developed and heads up their cutting edge ‘Mixxit’ bartender training programme. www.mixxit.co.uk As the Global Ambassador to the Mixxit programme he is a key brand developer for their portfolio of premium brands, as he continuously trains and inspires bartenders throughout the world.

Over the last 5 years he has devised innovative training and education programmes to encourage bartenders around the world to enhance and develop their own bartending skills.

He has regularly appeared on several well known food television programmes including a four year stint on Great Food Live and currently presents a now legendry weekly Sunday drinks slot on BBC’s Something for the Weekend a show that regularly pulls in over 1.5 million viewers. He presents extensively at various trade exhibitions around the World and is on the International Judging committee at the highly praised annual Tales of The Cocktail in New Orleans.

Also consults on bespoke cocktail styling for many high profile events such as the BAFTAS, film premiers, fashion shows & art exhibitions.
